Stewart is the son of Eddy Berrong, Jr. He was born in Weatherford, OK but lived in Utah for several years before moving back to Weatherford where he got his high school diploma. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University where he earned his degree in Psychology with a minor in Industry and Organization.
Stewart joined Berrong Insurance Agency in 2008 where he started out processing endorsements and did other computer work. He has been involved in the Weatherford Rotary Club since 2010 and as its secretary from 2012-2017. He served as chairman of the Weatherford Area Economic Development Foundation in 2015 and on the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce board from 2013-2015. The Weatherford Chamber honored him with its Young Professional award in 2017. He was elected Chairman of the Big I of Oklahoma for the 2021-2022 term and received a Chairman’s Citation “In recognition of your interest, enthusiasm, and leadership displayed in the activities of our association” in April 2021 from previous Chairman, Chris Mosley. Stewart and his wife Gretchen have four children, a dog, and two cats. When Stewart’s not working or running his kids around, he enjoys relaxing and listening to music.
